What is the STEM-H Academy?

Botetourt County Public Schools launched its STEM-H education initiative in the fall of 2013 at the Greenfield Education and Training Center.  The program targets highly motivated students with a sincere interest in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, or health care.  Students in the STEM-H Academy will learn and work in a challenging atmosphere where collaboration is expected and questioning and critical thinking are routine.  The partnership between Botetourt County Public Schools and Virginia Western Community College allows for students to earn dual enrollment credit for STEM-H courses leading to college degrees in their area of choice.
